Projects in 2003

The following pictures of my granddaughters Christmas jumpers with embroidery on them. I made my granddaughter very simple jumper, for Christmas I used some velveteen I bought from Wal-Mart last spring on sale. I added some embroidery to the jumpers these designs I got from ANNthe Gran on the internet. I made the girls some little purses from the left overs the embroidery on the purses was from my test of the design.

The following are some placemat and napkins I made for a Christmas present. The edges are bound in the same fabric as one side of the napkins. The placemats are a brushed denim in a green with an embroidery grape vine and grapes on them.

The napkins are two side one fabric is the same as the binding on the placemats and the other a purple fabric. The edges are a rolled hem using wooly nylon in the loopers on my serger.

The pictures below are of New Look 6189 pattern it has a skirt in two different length and a jacket in different lenghts. There is a cami also. I made my step-daughter the longer lenght skirt and short jacket out of some light weight polar fleece I have in my stash for several years.

The following are my Granddaugther's playing with the fur blankets I made them for Christmas 2003 the older girl's was made from a cat faux fur I got from Wal-mart with a Light colored micro fabric and light colored fringe.

The younger girls blanket was made from a black and white cow faux fur I also got from Wal-Mart with a black polyester lining, and black fringe on one side.

The girls had a lot of fun playing with them when we went to look at lights Christmas Eve the girls were wrapping up with the blankets the evening turned out to be cold.

The following are pictures of a Neck roll pillow I covered in some green cotton and made a sleeve out of some animal printed tapestry. I also include a picture of my iron table cover made from some stripped denim.

The following pictures are of Loes Hinse cowl neck tops and made 4 of these so far. One of a gray stretchy knit with the cowl neck. Second on of a green polar fleece stretchy fabric with the cowl neck. Third one of a red/black printed knit fabric this one I did a split neck instead of a cowl neck. The last one was out of forest green stretch velvet from Christine Jonson's fall fabric collections I love this fabric it feels great.

Sewing Workshop Apron Tamari's Apron. I made up two different version of this apron from some fabric stash fabric I had. One was out of some, Heavy denim and did twin needle top stitching on it in gold to make it look like jeans. I also make some place mates out of the denim want to embroidery some wild animals on them using golds and brown threads.

The second one was make out of some black bandana printed fabric and black ticking I made it reversable only put a pocket on one side. I did a 2" binding all around it.
